Enjoy a whole day of mindfulness practice. Sitting, standing, lying, walking.... Meditation in all it's forms. Time spent in silence but also time to share experiences and discuss your practice. A great way to discover mindfulness and to embed practice for those with more experience. The retreat day is fully guided and also provides an insight into the content of structured mindfulness-based approaches. If you have a yoga mat, meditation cushion and blanket please bring these with you (spares are provided for those who need them). Please also bring a packed lunch. The retreat costs £40 and is facilitated by Dr Julie Wardrop.
Meet Your Retreat Facilitator My name is Dr Julie Wardrop. Following treatment for cancer 13 years ago I swapped a career in cancer research to study meditation and became a qualified mindfulness teacher and therapist. For 3 years I lived as a Buddhist nun and travelled widely on pilgrimage to India, Nepal and Sri Lanka where I was lucky to receive teachings from great spiritual leaders. Blending ancient and modern scientific thinking, I aim to help others by delivering courses and workshops which offer deep personal, spiritual and professional growth.
